About the Doctors

I was 15 years old performing a back flip at a gymnastics camp and landed awkwardly on my head and neck.  It was very sore after but I could move my arms and legs, thus nobody was overly concerned about a spinal cord injury.  I was sent home and told to see a doctor when I could.  The next day, my parents took me to a local Chiropractor for the first time.  I went in nervous but walked out completely pain free!  I remember telling my mother as we left that was what I wanted to do.

On my journey through schooling, I considered different types of healthcare;  Medicine, Chiropractic, and Osteopathy.  I eventually chose Chiropractic.  In 2001, I began practicing Chiropractic and Acupuncture in Sioux Falls and in the spring of 2002, we relocated our practice and Natural Arts was born.  I truly feel blessed to be able to do what I do every day and simply take care of my patients and feel just as blessed to raise our five children in such a great community.

    • Dr. Tricia has been selected multiple times to serve on the National Acupuncture Test Committee (which includes other Doctors of Chiropractic, Doctors of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine, and Licensed Acupuncturists) that is used to test and properly certify DCs that perform acupuncture throughout the country.

After suffering a knee injury playing football in high school, I was sent to a Chiropractor.  To this day, I clearly remember watching patients limp and hobble their way into treatment rooms and coming out of the room a short time later walking normally and smiling.  I was blown away, how was he able to do that so quickly?!  After my treatment, I asked the doc about his schooling and he provided me with some literature.  I knew right then and there that's what I wanted to do.

If you read my beautiful and talented wife's bio first, then you know our story of how we created this place and love living here raising our minions.  We enjoy coming here every day, it just never gets old helping people feel better.  We each have areas we like to focus on which allows us to cover a lot of ground in what we can treat, and that fulfills our mission here, which is to find effective solutions to people's problems.  Personally, I have utilized our services to treat a bit of an injury list; ruptured discs in both my neck and lower back, a torn rotator cuff, and a knee injury.  Without question, I have learned a great deal from these experiences and it's helped me provide better services to our patients.
