We all awoke this morning to the sound of howling wind and the sight of 4 foot snow drifts lining our garage doors. Remember, when you have to scoop, bend your knees and tighten your stomach a bit, dont just 'put your back into it'.
The easiest way to throw your back out is to bend at the waist then start applying force, ie lifting, pushing, pulling. Go slow, use good posture, and be sure to stretch your hamstrings and lower back when you're done.
Happy snow season!
